Jingle and Mingle at Parliament Buildings: Ards Business Hub Brings Entrepreneurs and Stakeholders Together

Ards Business Hub brought together local entrepreneurs and start-ups for its festive ‘Jingle and Mingle’ fundraiser at Stormont Parliament Buildings on Thursday 27th November. The event provided a unique opportunity for small businesses and start-ups supported by Ards Business Hub, to connect with local councillors, stakeholders, Ards Business Hub staff, and fellow entrepreneurs.

The event was hosted by Nick Mathison MLA and Ards Business Hub in the Members Dining Room at Stormont Parliament Buildings, and the guests were treated to live music and a delicious spread of canapes and drinks.

Speaking after the event, Nichola Lockhart, Ards Business Hub CE said: “Our events are a way to thank clients who enrich our local business community. They also create valuable opportunities for connection and collaboration among entrepreneurs. It was fantastic to see so many owners relax, share ideas, and build relationships ahead of Christmas. A special thank you to Nick Mathison for hosting this event, which was a fantastic chance for our key stakeholders to network and engage with our fledgling businesses. We’re also grateful for the generous donations for this year’s charity which our business is supporting – Mission Christmas: Cash for Kids.”

Nick Mathison MLA also provided comment on his evening spent meeting the local business attendees: “It was my pleasure to host Ards Business Hub’s festive Jingle and Mingle event at Parliament Buildings. It was a great opportunity for me to speak to local business owners and to get some insight into their challenges. Most importantly, it was an opportunity for business owners to connect with one another, share their experiences and grow their networks. They’re the heart of the economy, supporting them to grow and strengthen their businesses helps our entire community- locally and across Northern Ireland. A huge thank you to all the team at the Hub for the vital services they offer.”

Thank you to everybody who attended to celebrate local entrepreneurs and start-ups, alongside our host Nick Mathison, local councillors, stakeholders and the Ards Business Hub staff.

Alongside this, we were overwhelmed by the toy and cash donations we received from our attendees for our Mission Christmas: Cash for Kids fundraiser. Thank you all for making this year’s Jingle and Mingle a night to remember!
